This split chronograph, with its unique reference number 5160, is a testament to Longines' long-standing tradition of precision and craftsmanship.

Pros of buying an 18.72 5160 Split Longines Chronograph Caliber produced in 1945:

1. Historical significance: This watch is a vintage piece, produced during a significant era in watchmaking history. Owning such a watch can be a great way to connect with the past and appreciate the craftsmanship of the time.

2. Rarity and collectibility: Due to its age and limited production, an 18.72 5160 Split Longines Chronograph Caliber is likely to be a rare find. As such, it could potentially increase in value over time, making it a sound investment.

3. Unique design: The split chronograph feature is a unique design element that sets this watch apart from many modern timepieces. The dual-register design and vintage aesthetic also contribute to its appeal.

Cons of buying an 18.72 5160 Split Longines Chronograph Caliber produced in 1945:

Conclusion:

Buying an 18.72 5160 Split Longines Chronograph Caliber produced in 1945 can be a rewarding experience for watch collectors and enthusiasts. The watch's historical significance, rarity, and unique design make it an attractive addition to any collection.
