The Bates Bacon Royal 20 year gold filled case is in fair condition - it structurally sound but has several flaws. The video and photos are Thebes evidence of the watch's details performance, take precedence over unintentional errors I have in narrative. Movement is damaskeened and in good shape appearance. As with most antique and vintage timepieces this watch should be cleaned, serviced and / or repaired.

The bow is loose, and the pendant crown are in good shape. No chips in the crystal detected. The back cover snaps well to the frame but bezel is loose and doesn't stay attached. This watch is antique or vintage and being sold as described based on my experience collector.

Also study the video and photos, which may have been enhanced to show the timepiece'beauty. The dial is in fair condition with spotting and chipping throughout. The back cover has tiny dents and is indented overall. 17 jewel size 12 open face mens pocket watch was manufactured around 1921 and is not running.

The hinge works fine. I don't have an opinion whether the movement can be restored, although winding and setting mechanisms work well wheels move with ease, they just catch.
