This model was sold as the Brakeman. We rarely see these old pocket watches from the Canadian Westclox factory in peterborough, ontario. This one runs 2-3 minutes slow per day. The time is set by pulling crown straight up.

Westclox is no longer making watches in peterborough, nor their us factory. Westclox styling with the train locomotive on face and back has made this similar model's very popular. The clasp functions and styling is classy. Timekeeping is far more sophisticated today.

Winding is done by clockwise turning of the crown until tight but not overly so. The case is approximately 50mm. The minutes, all 60 of them, had to be printed on dial.

Any Westclox is collectible, especially one that functioning this well. Pocket watches are becoming a thing of the past. Many refer to them simply as railroad or railway pocket watches. A Canadian Westclox is even more collectible and scarce.
