The open face Wordsworth Referee gold filled 20 year case is structurally sound but well worn. Despite the tarnish there is an intricate etching on outer rings of covers that quite pretty. The single sunk dial is in excellent condition and needs a cleaning. The screwback front and back covers secure to the frame well but threads are tight maneuver will work better after cleaned.

The bow, crown and pendant are structurally solid - the bow is tarnished. Movement is damaskeened and its appearance excellent. As with most antique and vintage timepieces this watch should be cleaned, serviced / or repaired. No chips in the crystal detected.

The crown winds well and the pendant set works. This Elgin Natl. This watch is being sold as described based on my experience a collector. Size 16 open face case mens' pocket watch was manufactured around 1898 and is in good condition.
