The watch winds and sets well runs intermittently - see video for the watch's performance, servicing / repair is required. The Philadelphia Watch Co. Adept use of a pocket watch knife is needed to open the dust cover. If you desire to restore it optimum working condition at your cost, please consult with a pocket watch technician prior purchasing.
The bow, crown and pendant are in good shape. Movement is gilted and in good shape. The inner side of the dust cover is damasked. This watch is being sold as described based on my experience a collector.
As with most antique and vintage timepieces this watch should be cleaned, serviced and/ or repaired. There are a few tiny dents in the outer case, and dust cover is slightly warped scratched at notch. No chips in the crystal detected. The dial is enamel single sunk, and in good shape with hairline fractures at 11.
The crown release front cover and notch back dust covers snap well. 10k gold filled case has a fancy etched monogram theme that is in good condition. The back and dust cover hinges are slightly loose, the front hinge is in good shape. The numbers on the dial are a unique blue color, and hands delicate ornate.
The is case structurally sound. This Elgin USA hunter case women's pocket watch was manufactured around 1914 and is in fair condition. Also study any videos and / or photos message me with questions.
