The front has a lip to snap open the cover, and back cover outer dust are crown-released. Cooper size 18 half hunter double bottom key wind/set pocket watch appears to have been manufactured in West Brighton, England the late 1800s. The bow and crown are in great shape. The pictures show two catches that enable access to the movement, and wear tear caused by opening it.

The watch is in remarkable condition despite its age - normal wear and tear on the case several detectable hairline fractures. This is a key wind and set watch - the chain appear to be originals are in great shape. The watch is running and looks to keep time well - please see the video of second hand on dial. The movement is in a swing out case, and since I'm not watchmaker I have opened it to study the movement, jewels secondary dust cover.

Based on its markings, the case appears to have been manufactured in Birmingham, England and is sterling silver. The case is also quite solid and sturdy with a couple of tiny dents. Since there is little information about this pocket watch and case, everything I'm indicating here that not visibly detectable from research. As with most antique timepieces this watch should be serviced.
